Comet Auction

Options
 I need to buy a new washing machine as mine (very unhelpfully) decided to die on me. Can only spend up tp £250 as was thinking of getting a Zanussi 1421 for £229.95 from Comet when I spotted their Clearance auction. Has anyone used it and is it worth it? Many thanks for and help :xmastree:

I bought a cooker for our caravan from them. The price was cheap but delivery was nearly £30. They generally sell these items at auction as they have dents etc, they describe the condition on the website. My cooker said it was dented on the rear left, but actually was the front left. As it was for my caravan I didn't really mind but still let them know. They ended up knocking off £30 which paid for my delivery. Make sure you check the description carefully, don't get auction fever (know the best price on other websites) and inspect fully upon delivery.

    Hi outofdate

    Slightly changing the opening post
Have you ever thought of buying from your local auction house.

I picked up a dirt cheap dishwasher a few months ago ( in excellent condition ).

If you do decided to buyone from there ask for a condition report and ask about there return poilicy

    Just a thought Jaffa

There's a place called Borsch Electric in Birmingham which does delivery-damaged machines very cheap. Not sure if there are similar places around the country. They don't seem to have a website though.

bought a washing machine bosch about £100 cheaper. true you have to pay highish delivery costs. advice to to go for ex-display model not not returned items. mine was ex-display and had a small scratch at bottom, otherwise free from dents etc.
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems :( Well at least i learn something on the way :D
