Hey,

I'm Dave, and I'm new to this so lookin for some help.

I currently owe HSBC £9886.20 of which I pay £250 a month off but that's not a prob.

I have got a debt with Buchannon Clark + Wells for an 02 bill, I said last week I'd pay £45 a week off but cannot afford that. I have transferred them £25 today and was wondering if they will be ok with that, if not - what will they do?

From looking at the forum I've decided to do a budget planner of my money to help me kick start 2009 to get debt free!

Hello and welcome Dave! If you make an arrangement to pay you should stick to it. Perhaps you could ring them back and explain the situation.

Doing the budget planner is an excellent start - I keep updating mine as I find more savings / create new income! The other thing that could help you is if you posted a statement of affairs using makesenseofcards - another website. You then format for the mse forum here and post it here. we then comment and give advice on where you might be able to make cut backs/reallocate your money and where you perhaps need to spend £ that you've been ignoring.

You might also benefit from Martin's moneymakerover on the right. I also found the demotivator a great tool. I was spending £2800+ on luxuries from my net pay...
