Claiming bank charges when in hardship help please

We are in financial hardship and are registered with the CCCS. As of yet we dont even earn enough and are only paying £1 back to each creditor. (I am currently unemployed seeking employment)
Anyway, we have been charged in excess of £150 or even £200 by the HSBC over the past 6-8 months and I would like to try and claim this back.

How do I go aout this? I have read the claiming charges back thread but I wondered if there is a template for a letter anywhere. Also they have a financial statement from us already do I send another along with the letter?

We are currently ongoing to reach an agreement of a figure to pay back each month with them as they didnt accept the £1 but will accept £10 will claiming the bank charges back affect this?

If anyone could offer any advice I would be so greatful. we could nearly pay off one of our overdrafts with the amount of charges we have had!!!

Thanks
Helen

    Hi Billicus and Welcome

There's usually lots of great people around to answer questions but everyone must be busy so I'll do my best.

I believe hardship cases are exempt from the delay other people are having while we wait to see what the Court says about charges etc. I think CCCS are helping people in real hardship to write and claim back charges - have you spoken to them about this?
