Csa1 & Csa2

I am a NRP on CSA1 paying £73 per week. I have worked out my Child Support using the guidelines for CSA2 and the payment becomes £42. Am I stuck with CSA1 or is there a way to get out and on to CSA2?

You are stuck on CSA1 until HELL FREEZES OVER0

Is there an official date for hell freezing over?:rotfl:0

Still no official date yet.
The only other way around it is to get your ex to close the case, then she can reapply in 13 weeks under new rules.
Or have another baby with someone else (a bit drastic maybe!), and get them to claim, which would be a CS2 case, which would drag the old case across too.:beer:0 -
Csa 1 takes into account your housing costs while Csa 2 does not
How they work out CSA 1 is a secret even the csa dont know !
Changes every single time and they include your partners income, CTC, but dont count any kids unless you are the mum/dad.0 -

There is no chance of my ex closing the case. Is there any chance of me switching to CS2 through a CSA or Departures appeal.? There is a 61% difference between the two payments and I think it's unfair that I am penalised so heavily, depending on what method of calculation that is being used.0

No there is no chance under this route I'm afraid.0

would it be worth your while offering your ex more money than you pay now (say extra £10 a week or something?)Obviously on the proviso that she ends the csa case? My ex was unaware that having stoped our case, when she reapplied to CSA I would then be on CSA2 and no longer on CSA1. As a result i m now better off on CSA 2 and there aint much she can do about it!!
So while for a number of weeks you ll be worse off, in the long term you ll be loads better off.0 -
I doubt the pwc would be so stupid as to accept that one!!0
