Someone looking for Oh don't know who it is!

My lovely neighbour has just told me that someone was looking for my OH yesterday while I was out.
They asked if he still lived here, but would not say where he was from or what it was for. My neighbour told him OH works away in the week and isn't home, but I'm worried sick they're going to come back when I'm on my own with the kids.

Nothing was pushed through the door so I'm not sure what its for (could be a few things he hasn't paid)

Please help me as I don't know what to do. I have literally no money at all, I'm even scratting around to find dinner money for my little girl for tomorrow. I am so tired of the worry about money and having to cope with it all on my own, does anyone else think they're never going to get out of debt?

Sorry to go on, I just don't know what to do. Of to pick DD1 up from school so that should brighten my day up a bit.

  • Hi aligerdie, I wouldn't worry too much about whoever has been as you can't do anything when you don't know who they were, for all you know it could be entirely innocent and you are worrying about nothing

Yes I completely agree with you that sometimes it all gets too much and you feel like you will be in debt forever (I am having one of those days myself) but have you done an SOA and a budget plan?, talk to your OH aswell, it is too much to cope with it all on your own hun xx

  • thank you for your reply, appreciate it.

Well, after getting back from the school run, I have had a letter pushed through from a bailiff about some outstanding council tax.

I know this isn't what yesterday was about, but its just something else to add to the c***p thats building up. I am sat here in tears, frantically typing a letter to the collection agency asking them not to visit, and offering a small payment per month.

I am so sick of this, my kids deserve better and I just feel like I've failed them in every way imaginable. My OH doesn't help me with the repayments, its just me as his head is firmly wedged in the sand, and I really don't think I can cope anymore.

I can't cut back anymore, everything is back to the bare minimum, I am selling anything I can (even my beloved music which breaks my heart), but then its all a waste of time when my OH goes and signs up to a £40 a month phone contract for 18 months.

Sorry for whining, but I have had just about enough. Where I would be without this site, I don't know.
