I always try to take the extra money, it makes a big difference on paying off debt even if it is only £50. Unfortunately people on a higher salary than me don't get the choice, they have to take the time off in lieu.0

Surely if you are being offered doulble time.....then you should be offered two days in lieu for the bank holiday?
