I bought a computer over 42 months with GE money. In Jan 08 this agreement finished. No more direct debits were requested. In May I was contacted by a company called Allied and told that money was outstanding and to prevent it being taken further would i pay. I did this immediately although I did not know what this was for but as a debt collector had phoned I panicked.

I recently found out that I had been defaulted by GE money and also Aktiv kapital for the same debt. After writing and phoning GE money to complain that i knew nothing about this alleged debt they have since removed this default but Aktiv have me defaulted but satisfied. I have written to Aktiv asking for the original agreement and also the default paperwork that was supposedly sent to me. They have written back to me saying that although they bought my debt they do not have to provide the original paperwork. I still don't know what the debt was for. I am not interested in reclaiming the money but I do want the default removed from my records. What do I do now? Please help.
