Just bought Braun 9900 electric toothbrush

As you can see from the thread title, I have just bought (yesterday) one of these toothbrushes. I am very attached to my teeth and want them to stay that way.

I used it for the first time today after it was fully charged. It made my teeth feel clean but it sounded horrible! Very loud and graty sounding. Not at all like my previous electric toothbrushes (Braun and Phillips) which sort of hummed.

Is this noise normal or should I tote it back to Boots for a replacement?

All advice/comments gratefully accepted.

Jean

I have the same brush and the same complaint. It does feel great though so I have put up with it. At first I thought the noise was just in my head until my BF started singing along with it (tie me kangaroo down - he says it sounds like digereridoo)

  • Thanks Red, at least I know now that it is not just mine that sounds like an old wooden rattle ;) !

I am still a little concerned though, as none of the customer reviews I have read about this toothbrush mention the noise, and I am sure that the Gadget Show would have noticed as well. I'll have another look at the reviews, and maybe email Braun as well just to put my mind at rest.

If I find out anything I'll let you know. Thanks again for replying to me.
  • Right, have just watched the Gadget Show episode again and it does make that noise.

    Problem solved.
