Morrisons Supermarket Giving back £20

Hi Folks,

Did my shopping in Morrisons last night and was present with a card 'thingy' with my receipt. When I got home and read it I found out the following:

If you spend £40 a week (in one shopping trip), for four weeks from 10th November to 14th December, Morrisons will give you back a £20 voucher between 15th - 24th December. The card 'thingy' is to keep your receipts in. You need four receipts with the £40+ value on them, present them to the Customer Services desk on or after 15th Dec and they give you a voucher in exchange.

As I nearly ALWAYS spend £40'ish a week, I'd say this is a bit of a bargain.

Cheers and enjoy.

I saw the telly advert for this yesterday. Great deal, shame there's not one near me.

  • i work in morrisons and will also be collecting, got my first reciept today... make sure you keep hold of the card thingy because they will not accept loose receipts (it does say this in the small print), the store i work in had a pile of them at each till so i picked up about 5 and have put them in a drawer incase i or anyone i know loses the original card
  • Beware!

Yes, this looks at face value to be a good offer, but it is worth reading the small print very carefully.

Once you have collected your four receipts (which can only be one per week for four individual and seperate weeks) you must spend another £40 when redeeming the voucher. So the way I see it is you spend £200 and get £20 off your bill.

More importantly Morrisons are advertsing this offer in their petrol stations but in the small print, petrol purchases are EXCLUDED.

    Happy spending to save.

But it is a reward if you spend 40 quid a week anyway as lots of people do. So if you go to Morrisons anyway for your weekly shop then this is a Bargain as you are getting 20 quid for nothing.

You're getting 10% back, providing you spend £200 in an allotted time. We'd quite easily spend £40+ a week, we just don't shop at Morrisons.

My daughter works for them and she tells me that if you use the discount card and it takes your shopping to below £40 then it dosn't count, you have to have spent £40 after discount.
She also tells me they are having a 15% discount day in about a week, not sure of the date
