Good Deal on Sony Blu Ray Player

Just found that a good deal exists for the SonyBDP-S350 at Blockbuster whilst stocks last.

For £199.99 you get the player which recieved a five star (out of five) rating in 'What Hi Fi: Sound & Vision" recently. Now - you can get the player cheaper elsewhere, but the Blockbuster deal comes with six free Blu ray titles, including some new releases, and indeed, a couple that aren't actually out yet.

If you consider that most new Blu Ray movies kick in at about £20, and slightly older titles are still about the £16 - 17 mark then you are getting about £100 of free discs.

The titles included in the deal are; Hancock , Wall-E, Mamma Mia, Iron Man, Batman Begins & Casino Royale. A great start to your blu ray collection IMHO.

Then, to top it all off, you will recieve 10 half price movie rentals to play on your shiny new player. I have no loyalty to Blockbuster, but this seems a great deal although it is strictly while stocks last evidently.

  • This is a very good offer. My friend works as an acountant for Blockbusters and he told me about this a few weeks back. It is strictly whilst stocks last but apparently, if the they still have the DVD players in stock by the first few weeks of December, they will be offering 'The Dark Knight' as an option too.
  • Hi Gang

Since posting my thread this morning I have been to my local branch of Blockbuster and have been advised that the magazine I received detailing the offer is out a little early and that the deal I described does not really commence until 1st Dec.

However, a £20 deposit has secured my deal so if this offer is one you're hoping to take advantage of, why not get along and put a deposit down. As well as a great deal, you'll get a couple of weeks to save up the balance.

The sames 'mag' had a voucher inside the back page that has enabled me buy the new Indiana Jones release and the lastest 'Hulk' blu rays for under £30 ... a saving of about £9.

    Happy Bargain Hunting!

It's Profile 1.1 but can be updated to 2.0 if you have an internet connection you can hook into it (so it can play current discs). It doesn't have DTS-HD but many people would have no need for that anyway.

I work for Blockbuster and can confirm the reason for you not being able to get it now is because at least 3 of the film havent been released yet! Its being advertised now as you need to put down a deposit to secure your player & then can collect it from dec 1st!!
