Where do I go to now?

Options
Hello.

I am trying to find out how to trace transactions made in a company pension. My dad has been paying into a company pension since 1983 and has paperwork covering most of these years. I am confused by the paperwork though as it appears that in 1993 a pension of £13k per year based on 1853 units (value proposed on current growth rates etc) was transferred to Friends Provident who then passed this immediately onto Jardine Lloyd Thompson. On arrival at JLT the fund was worth £8k and appeared to only have 603 units. I have requested details from the company and JLT on why the fund changed etc and what were the old units against the new but I am getting nowhere with this. Can somebody tell me where/ what to do next.

I understand that money can be lost but on looking at this from an outside perspective too much money is being lost here. I know I may be paranoid but whenever I ask a question about this I am given loads of data from an administrator who seems to want to bamboozle me! I do not mind paying a specialist to look into this but would not know where to begin to look.

Thanks.
