wetherspoons are good there's one on jamacia street & one just off of george square and theres a nice chinese buffet place near central station, can't remember the name though :S

or you could go to TGI Fridays but thats a bit dearer

I love Bar Soba in Glasgow, just off Buchanan Street (Mitchell Lane?), the food is reasonably priced and delicious, the staff are lovely and they do cocktails (not so reasonably priced but everything in moderation :-) )

I was also recently in Brasserie on George Square (in Millenium Hotel) for dinner and it was lovely and the service great. I booked on http://www.5pm.co.uk and got 3 course dinner for £15 + glass of wine.

http://www.5pm.co.uk is quite a good place to look in general IMO.
