Loewe Class Leading 32" LCD TV £1099 Instore 27/12

Hi

This superb Loewe L32 Concept 32" LCD TV will be reduced in price in all House of Fraser stores nationwide from £1599 to £1099 on 27 December. There have been reports that some people have managed to negotiate for this price even a few days ago. You can even get a further 10% off if you use a House of Fraser card.

Those who have not seen this TV in flesh: this is the 32" LCD TV class leader. Just google it, and not a single bad review.

It's HD compatible. Quote "HDTV-compatible means that the TV can receive a HD-signal(720p/1080i) and display it, but not with the highest HD-quality. This might be because the TV:s resolution is too low or the TV might be missing the digital inputs required (DVI and/or HDMI with HDCP support). "
  • I searched for it on google and I came accross 32" LCD TV - Atec for £749.00, I am not sure whether I can post the link on here but if you search for " 32" LCD TV - Atec ", and click on the ClearDragon link which should be the first one you will see it there.
  • Also having searched around I found that the Loewe L32 Concept 32" LCD TV has these dimensions 970(w) x 545(h) x 232(d). I don't quite understand the difference between plasma and LCD and thought that they were both very thin TVs, however the Loewe L32 is 23cm deep which isnt thin. Can some one explain the difference and tell me which is cheaper(worse) in general, LCD or plasma.

Basically I have been searching around for a thin TV around 32"-42" since I plan to get a refund for my 32" flat screen philips tv which takes up a lot of space compared to a plasma tv. I bought my TV from Costco about 1-2 years ago but their 3 year guarantee allows me to return it. Now I am wondering whether I should buy my next tv from costco or somewhere else, I want to make it as cheap as possible with guarantee. I am not sure whether I should buy it now or wait a while for after xmass reductions. Any advice?

is there anything actually wrong with your existing tv ?
or do you just plan to get a refund for it every time a newer sleeker model comes out ?

  • I dont know how it works but once I took a camera back and they accepted it without asking any questions. Im surprised that none of you answered my questions and are more concerned about what I said about the refund. I don't see what difference it makes whether costco will refund it or not.
  • if you want the best picture go for a crt ( like what you have) next best picture on 42 inch is plasma and worst ( not really bad or anything) lcd.

however a cheap plasma against a quality lcd and he difference will be the lcd is better.

not forgetting the connection leads you will need ( decent quality leads will give better picture than the cheap ones)

23 cm is just under 10 inches, it may seem alot but it is way slimmer than what you have at the moment.
