help pudsey bear biscuit

I've got to make 100 iced pudsey bear biscuits for work for friday i've had a trial run today and my normal bicuit recipe is no good!!

The biscuit cutter has pudseys features on the underside and they were all a little swollen and when the biscuits have cooled they are quite short and crumbly so pudseys head fell off quite a few of them:rotfl:

the recipe i normall use is the standard shortbead one and makes lovely biscuits normally but no good for printed shaped biscuits (3lb plain flour, 2lb marg, 1lb sugar)

Any ideas greatly appreciated

We use this one to make christmas biscuits.

Makes about 15, so just up the quantities.:T

    50g (2oz) icing sugar
    75g (3oz) soft marg
    I egg yolk
    Vanilla essence
    150g (5oz) plain flour

    Pre-heat oven to 180C 350F Gas mark 4

Sift the icing sugar through a sieve, add the marg, cream together. Add the egg and vanilla essence, stir well. Sift in the flour, mix till a dough. Rest in the fridge for about 10 minutes. Roll out and cut out shapes.

Place on a baking tray for 10 -12 minutes.

    Hope this helps!

Hi I've got the packaging from a pudsey cutter, recipe on back-I'll change it round for copyright rules-

    100g plain flour
    50g cornflour
    100g caster sugar
    100g marg or butter

    Oven preheat to 180,(170 fan) 350,Gas 4.
Mix flour and cornflour, add butter and sugar and rub till resembles breadcrumbs.Dust hands with flour and squeeze into a ball.Knead, flour your worksurface then roll out thinly-3mm.Start cutting at the edge, put on tray then re-roll trimmings for some more.Chill for 5 mins.Bake about 10-15 mins.
Cool for 5 mins then put on wire tray.
Decorate with icing and icing pens.

Hope this helps the heads to stay on :D
