  • hang on i just reread what you put and you say you lose 'alot' of the interest?

i assume this means it has a normal 3% rate or so but if you save regularily you get a bonus? if this is the case then i would bet a virtual tenner on the fact the interst earned will be less on the savings account than on the credit cards!

    I may be wrong though

Both cards are interest free, one until Feb, one until May. I have to keep the money in the savings account and keep paying until Feb. Then I intend to use it to pay as much off the first credit card as I can. Thus the cash is earning interest in the savings account and the credit cards are interest free.

    So I'm up, yes?

  • yes you are. sorry re-re-read your SOA and saw you'd payed off your card/overdraft with interest.

fair enough your on the right track and good luck with it.

Without trying to sound big headed so far i've found it pretty easy but it will all change once i'm home from work for a couple of weeks as it's when i'm back with my missus that things start to need buying!!

you just need to try and stay aware constantly of all the things you spend on and ask yourself 'do i really need that?'

easy to say probably much harder to put into practice!
