Potential problem with royal mail POD, is this letter ok?

I sent out a letter to a DCA who say I owe money to what looks like a catalogue debt. I don't know anything about this so called debt and after doing some research here, I sent off the request for the credit agreement under CCA. I sent the £1 PO and sent the letter recorded delivery on the 31/10. I've looked in the royal mail website and although it says it was delivered on the 2/11, it says it can't show an electronic proof of delivery for it, and having contacted RM by phone, they again said they can't see a signature on their system. I have got a form from the PO with which I can apparently send off and request proof of the £1 PO being cashed (It was crossed and made out to the DCA).

However, this takes time and I have since received an 'urgent final demand' letter from the DCA. On doing some more reading, I can see (Now!) I should send letters via registered delivery as opposed to just recorded. So I have written a further letter and will send another £1 PO then send the letter registered rather than wait in possible vain hope of getting the proof I need from the first letter.

This is what I am thinking of sending, could anyone offer any pointers to any amendments or if needed, additions.

Thanks.

Dear Sir/Madam

RE: Your Reference - xxxxxxxxxx

I recently wrote to you regarding the above account number. I have enclosed a copy of the original letter I sent.

I have not, as of yet, received the information that I initially requested but I have received a further ‘urgent final demand’ letter from you.

As I do not acknowledge this debt I would be grateful that you send me the relevant information that I am requesting again. I have included another Postal Order for the amount of £1, which is the statutory fee required, PO serial XXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

I understand that, receiving this request puts this alleged debt into dispute and as such, you are obliged not to process this debt action any further or pass on to any third party until my request is fulfilled satisfactorily.

Furthermore, I request that ALL communication should be in writing and I will not accept any phone calls from your company concerning this matter. This is within the Office of Fair Trading guidelines.
