Need to earn 5k per year.

I have recently left my job after 20 plus years , but due to various past good decisions & a little luck I find I need only to earn approx £5,000 p/year to keep myself afloat. I am wanting to move away from my previous line of work & wondered If anyone had any ideas. The money can be earned over the year. Perhaps working from home ,computer /internet based ? Just a thought but certainly not a must !
Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in anticipation.

doing leaflets/surveys/mystery shopping can be a lot of effort for not much money. you might be better off doing the odd temporary assignment in your proffession and only working a few months a year.

you can top up with the little stuff as well.
  • what about party planning as you can work when suits you - there are lots of different party plan companies - so why not find one that suits your lifestyle - also gets you out meeting new people, earning money while having fun.

That's what I do and really don't understand why more people are not doing this!

Please feel free to ask any questions.
    I get paid to party!:rotfl:
  • Or why not go part time in retail like a wine shop. Maybe do 12 per week. Good discount and you would make over 5k. xx

I'm in the same situation as you and now I do care work. I work for a local care home on a nursing ward which is a stone throw away from my home so no transport costs. Its a great job but the pay is not the best but no day is the same and the hours are great. I'm bank which means I can tell them when I can work which is another plus.
However its not a job for all but there is always a need for carers.
  • If Lionbridge are hiring that might work out well for you
