Hello everyone
This is a shot in the dark coming here for advice/suggestions, but people on here have a wealth of information.
My brother lives in Canada and is starting up his own business. He is a Canadian citizen and has been for a number of years. He called me last night desperately worried about keeping up with all his bills. My question is, does anyone here know of a website like MSE and/or free legal advice (like our CAB) in Canada?
Thank you in advance
JW

Hi. I think there is a poster on here or 2 who are from Canada - maybe they can help.
However don't forget that a lot of the priniciples can be used whatever country you are in - budgetting, doing a spending diary, shopping around for everything where possible, paying off the highest rate debt first etc, etc.
Getting the food bill down - cooking from scratch, making his own lunch, bulk buying on BOGOFS etc, batch cooking etc, etc.
I would suggest that he still joins up here as I am sure he can still pick up loads of hints and tips.

Thank you dancingfairy for your reply.
I have given him advice on major principles you find on here and elsewhere eg don't ignore your bills. I suggested he should get advice from his bank. I think when you start to worry or get depressed you can't think straight that's why he called me for some support and practical suggestions.
Thanks again and I will keep looking for websites

Hi, if he has internet access then get him to at least read the threads on here.
As Dancing Fairy says, the money management skills that are demonstrated on here can be applied globally.
I think he needs to do a full list of his outgoings and then at least he can begin to see how much money he needs his business to make if he is going to at least keep afloat.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -
Yes, I will email him MSE link. It's just overwhelming him right now .
Thank you Whatawit0
