Call the courts and find out if you need more than one copy of the forms - some ask for 3.

Other than that, you need the fees and any fee remission form and very recent proof (if eligible) and thats it. I would also suggest change for the drinks machine and a good book or chatty friend as you could be half an hour or you could be there a long time.

Those other things the OR will ask for seperately when they write after BR, so don't load yourself with too much paperwork.

You're in England/Wales?? Then its a yes, you are made bankrupt on the day in court by the judge. They take your word for it (its assumed no-one who is not insolvent would be daft enough to declare themselves BR!) and the OR will investigate it later.

That's right no more money demands once BR.
You will have a BR number that you can quote to creditors if you receive any phonecalls.
The OR will eventually contact your creditors but this can take a few weeks & in the meantime you will receive some form of contact from a creditor I'm sure.

Depending on the creditor, you may find that they still call a lot. Just remember, that there is NOTHING they can now do. You remind them of your BR number and court, and tell them that they should check the OFT guidelines as its illegal to hassle a bankrupt. If they insist, tell them that you can give them your ORs details as you are sure they wont speak to him in the same manner... And if all else fails, tell them to go forth a multiply with a cheery smile on your face.

Most creditors don't bother though - I only had one or two.
