hi we are with payplan have been for two years....my question is ..on here people seem to be making small extra payments to their debts. Are you on dmp's while doing this and can I do it ? My dmp advice that extra payments go thru them to be split with everyone, but that wont really bring the dfd forward where as i think that extra payments to certain smaller debts would. Does anyone do it and how have you found it dont want to open up a can of worms with creditors by them thinking 'oh she can pay all of it now' does anyone know what i mean and have any advice?:o

I don't think under the rules of a DMP you can pay extra. Having said that i pay MBNA an extra £2 a month. It stopped all calls( they were the worst for me) and any defaults, for 2 quid i saw it as worth the cost of a sandwich.
I started doing this 12 months ago.0 -
Hi
I always make payments via the CCCS who run my DMP. Whether the money goes directly to one creditor or all of them, I figure my debt is still going down. Plus I would never let a creditor know my new bank details.
