Thanks 4littleOne, I will look out this lady.
I guess I will have to squeeze the pips more re mobile, travel and food.
Re the mobile, Im ona £30pm contract, and I have joined in a mobile review panel and get £19pm for it,. so Im paying £11pm for lots of minutes and texts, so I think Im on a good deal at the moment.
I will research talking to my creditors and see if that can help.
Andy
Don't even HINT to your creditors that you are struggling at this stage. They can be pretty quick at pulling the rug away from under you and, at this stage, that may be counterproductive. However, if you eventually decide that you need to go the DMP route, your chosen financial charity can let them know all at once.0 -
Paul,
What do you mean? I dont really have any credit left to spend!

Hi Andy,
no you're right, it' better to pay off the higher interest rate ones first. Some people find it really motivating to clear a couple of the smaller debts first though.;)
I'm not suggesting letting your creditors know you are struggling by the way, i am suggesting you take advantage of the little publicised 0% deals that some of them will have for existing customers.
If you could move some of the higher interest debt to 0% on a card then you can pay it off much quicker as all the money you pay to it will come off the balance rather than just some off the balance and most off the interest. :TTotal debt at LB Moment (Nov 2007) = £6583 £4649 20.03.09

Hi all,
The last few months have been quite tumultuous but things seem to have settled down and getting better,
My partner has decided to stay and is still looking for work.
We have moved flat. The stress of being kicked out of our home was unbelievable, not something I want to experience again in a hurry, It has made me feel for those is similar (and worse) situations.
For the third consecutive month I have reduced my overall level of debt, well done me! Now only 60 more months to go!
I thank you all and wish everyone a very happy and prosperous 2009!

Just keep pluging away at it and you will get there! You mentioned gong bankrupt - there are boards for this at the top of the page and I would go there and ask...it can have huge consequences depending on the area you work in...ie financially related jobs etc dont like it when people go br! The main thing is to keep chipping away and try and get your partner to get a job - although I can understand why its hard at leat in London theres less discrimination...hugs for you and great to hear new flat is working better! horrbile having to move at such a hard time...heres to 2009!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
