Here is how you can get a cheap DVD recorder to record from TV. I have my PC in the office room where there is no TV. My PC has a tuner card fitted. If you purchase a TV sender/receiver from Aldi for £19.99 and connect the sender to your TV/Sky/NTL box etc downstairs. Connect the receiver to the PC and you should receiver TV/Sky/NTL pictures. You are now able to record onto your hard drive and then onto the DVD writer
Problem with having access to internet is that i get asked by many to solve their problems
Well at least i learn something on the way

I had something smilar to this, I had a TV card and got a sender but couldnt figure out how to connect the receiving end of the sender to the tv card! It obviously couldnt take a SCART connection so I ended up scratching my head. By any chance could you let us know how you got your computers TV card hooked up to the sender?

or just connect an aerial to your TV card.
not really £19.99 as you need a PC and a TV card in the first place. I have a PC but no TV card so for me that would be an additional purchase.0 -
hmmm, the aerial is a good solution - assuming you have an aerial socket near the tv card in the pc!0

Technological differences aside, it isn't any different to video taping something. Who said it is legal to make a home recording of a tv show? (you will find it isn't strictly legal). Next....
