Good evening,

I have got a dilema which I'm hoping at least one of you will be able to help me...
My other half got us a TV back in March this year with Curry.s It's one of those deals where we don't get charged interest if we pay the whole amount in a year. I've just finished watching Panorama (I love that show!) which was all about credit, debt and basically stuff to do with finance. The program then reminded me that I have not seen the paperwork for our TV since it was bought and when I asked my partner about it, he couldn't tell me what the arrangement is in terms of paying back etc. He doesn't even know where the paperwork is!

I know it's only November and I've got a few months to sort something out but I don't want to find out that we had missed the deadline for the 0% period and that we will have to pay some ridiculous amount!

Does anyone know whether they will send a reminder to say that the 0% period is coming to and end? My other half has moved from the address the TV was delivered to in May to live with me so I don't know how Curry's would be able to reach him to advice him of the finance status?

  • You will be sent NO reminder.
It is up to you/partner to find this information out ASAP - bear in mind some of these agreements have a fee for repaying early without interest being charged.

They dont send you a reminder because they hope you forget and then they get more money into their coffers. Find out all the information and set up a payment with your bank to pay it on the due date.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

    1) Get him to ring Currys to find out the date.
    2) Set yourself a reminder for nearer the time.

Yea I thought they didn't send a reminder!

I'm gonna bug my partner to ring them and maybe get them to send a copy of the agreement even if we have to pay for them. I don't really know what I'm doing here as I've never had this sort of finance before and really it's not even mine as it's on his name but I agreed to pay half of it so I'm somehow responsible! :(

Oh goodie! Thanks mobo99 and CM. I didn't know where to look as the Currys website does not state which finance company it goes through so hey what a breakthrough!

CM could you not sleep last night? Or do you not have work today? If it's the latter, wehey!
