stocking filler ideas please for 17 yr old son?

i have whizzed through filling 22 yr old dd and still keep seeing things even though it is now full. my son however is proving more difficult, besides being a difficult age since filling daughters my husband and i have broken up so money is a bit tight now, thankfully i had bought most of my presents before the split. completely off subject ithis is the 3rd long relationship two of which were marriages and all dissolved within a matter of weeks of christmas, great timing eh??

  • I have an 18 yo daughter and a 21 yo son - they both get things like bodysprays, shower gel, stupid little sweets and silly little things from places like Hawkins Bazaar. I go for things that are intended for smaller kids and they have a great time reverting to younger childhood on Christmas!! Mixture of useful and stupid seems to go down well!!

AS for your break-ups, don't blame yourself - Christmas is known to be a stressful time. Think of it this way, you're free from any previous constant arguments and whatever made you split. This is the start of a new life, not the end of an old one. Good luck.

  • My brother is 18 and gets a phone voucher in his stocking (as well as the usual nik-naks) which he is always pleased with.i always put in a packet of tootie-frooties too as he used to nag me to buy them for him when we were kids!

  • There's a few places where you can get a "grow your own girlfriend" - I forgot about that one, although I don't think my son has done it yet!

(It's a little (tiny!) model of a girl in a pack on cardboard, I think you submerge it in water and it expands!!)
