HELP, really confused
I have a permanent part time job earning about £60 a week! However i have just started a new part time job in marks and spencer but it is only a temporary contract. i have decided therefore to reduce my hours in my permenent job to about 5hours earning about £20 a week. In my new job im earning around £100 a week but i am being taxed at 20%, code =Br. I have never been taxed before and im unsure whether or not im earning enough to be taxed. Can anyone help me and am i entitled to a tax rebate??

This is a normal code for a 2nd job.I have never been taxed before and im unsure whether or not im earning enough to be taxed.
At a total of £160pw then yes you earn enough to be taxed. At £120pw you still earn enough to be taxed. Can anyone help me and am i entitled to a tax rebate??

You may well be entitled to a rebate at the end of the tax year as you will probably pay too much tax simply because of the way the two jobs are taxed. You would certainly be better off having your tax code applied to the higher earning job rather than it being taxed at BR. You could also ask HMRC to split your allowances over the two jobs which would work out better.0
