Hi everyone
Not been around for a couple of weeks, things have been pretty hectic. For anyone that remembers we were planning a vol reposesion and then going bankrupt.
we secured our private rental place and we our slowly moving our stuff in. In the meantime Kensington Mortgages (spit) started repo proceedings and the court date was today. After much pressure from family I ended up going grabbing the most wonderful man from the CAB who spoke for me and I sat crying.
Before we went in he went and spoke to Kensingtons representative, and explained we were hoping on a bit of time to at least try and sell the house so we didn't incur another debt. The solicitor was then seen on the phone sniggering at me. Insert lots of swearwords here _______________. the reason being we could well just about sell it and then only one of us would need to go bankrupt!
Anyway the solicitor for Kensington (spit) went through his side of things and then the wonderful man from CAB said we were not contessting possession as due to circumstances I had lost my job illness etc, could no longer afford the mortgage but would like some time to try to sell, and then he said also with new goverment legislation coming into place on 06/01/2008. (The mortgage rescue thing) The council may well buy the house. Kensingtons solicitor (spit spit) said I oppose that and want possession within 28 days. The judge very calmly tore a strip off the solicitor and said they are not asking for susspension just time, and the solicitor said well 28 days is enough time to sell a house, they bickered a bit. The judge then pointed out that the solicitor should bear in mind he would be up before him in more cases. He then turned to me and said possession in 56 days and I wish you good luck in resolving your position Mrs ****.
And off we went, I must admit I did snigger at the solicitor on my way out!

Its a glimmer! And one up on the SPIT tit....
But, also bear in mind that its only bricks and mortar at the end of the day. I know that its hugely emotional, but there are more important things.0
