a little bit of good news: re credit checks and new services for phone broadband etc

Hello all,
i read a while ago on here that switching to new broadband/phone/whatever providers could be tricky due to credit checks. i thought i would be stuck with bt, who charged me a 50 deposit (now returned) to set up with them... that was pre br by the way but obviously credit score was messed up.
anyway, just did an online app with virgin media (4.50 per month broadband with 11.00 phone line - not bad i thought) anyway, online email helper person said not to worry about credit check as only verifying identity really... yeah right i though waiting for a knock back but it all sailed through and is done. and believe you me my credit file aint pretty! so, if anyone else thought they were stuck on this score, might be worth trying...

I had to do a deposit of £25 with BT following a credit check so they definitely have no consistency.BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0
