Monument sold my debt to Cabot, can I still reclaim charges?

Hi folks
Sorry, I meant to add: Monument (Barclays) sold my debt to Cabot in 2008.
I wrote to Monument (the original lender) to request copies of statements) as per the standard letter).
Is this correct? Am I chasing Monument or Cabot?
What is the likely reply and how should I proceed after 40 days?
Thx
Stuart

You should be reclaiming the charges from the company you made payments to, so it sounds like you're doing the right thing.
If it was a subject access request you sent (with £10 payment) they will need to supply all the information requested. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
