whadda outcome?!

Hey there

If anyone read a thread I started http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=126253 you'd know I was a bit worried - but thanks THANKS to MSE and MSErs I can say I took it head on and won!

Just look at this letter from Scottish Power:

Thank you for your recent letter regarding the above property.

Please accept my sincere apologies for the inconvenience this matter has caused you.

I have thoroughly investigated this matter and can confirm that I have closed the above account to 12 December 203, at which point you purchase **the address**. This has created a credit of £227.10, which takes into account previous payments that you have made. I have issued a cheque refund for this amount and you will receive this in the next ten working days.

We at ScottishPower aim to provide a high standard of servide at all times, and I am very sorry that in this instance, you did not receive the level of service to which you are entitled. However, I hope that the actions I have now taken will bring this matter to a satifactory conclusion.

Should you require any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

Woo hoo! They sent me a letter saying I OWED THEM MONEY now they are sending me a cheque!! I would like to point out that all Scottish Power staff that I have dealt with have been very very helpful but it is just sad that my 'debt' got 'bought' (I'm not sure if this is true) by BC&W when infact I did not and never did owe them any money!

    That is excellent news, Annie!!

Just what you need before Chrimbo; an acknowledgement of an error, some cash and one less thing to worry about! :)

    Greatness!
