Pension complaint - adjudicator allocated

Hi,
About 8 months ago I made a complaint to the financial ombudsman about some financial advice I'd acted upon - basically, taking my civil service finally salary pension scheme and putting it into a private pension. Obviously, on reflection this was a stupid thing to do.
I've now been allocated an adjudicator - does this mean my complaint has warranted further investigation or just that it's in its final stages and the
adjudicator is ready to make the final decision?
I've read the info on the FOS website but I still not sure whether being allocated an adjudicator is a good or bad thing....my gut feeling is bad. Do all cases get allocated an adjudicator?
Any help would be great

No. It means that they have finally allocated someone to look at the complaint. The adjudicator is the first level after checks to make sure the complaint is within the remit of the FOS. They are the ones that look at the complaint. You cannot read anything into it as all complaints within the remit of the FOS get an adjudicator.I've now been allocated an adjudicator - does this mean my complaint has warranted further investigation or just that it's in its final stages and the

They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
