Asda Coupons Policy

Hi, I was shopping in Asda tonighy and handed over some magazine vouchers one of which was for the olive magazine out the Daily Mail and the girl said she could only accept three couponsfor products that I hadn't bought I duly handed her my three highest ones and the olive one didn't work she had to put in the numbers manually, anyway when I got outside I noticed it had added £1.50 on instead of taking it off so beware of this!!!

Sorry this happened to me on the last batch of Olive coupons we had about 2 months ago. I did go back and get my money, but because I was so tired only got the £1.50 and not the other £1.50 that the coupon was worth.

I think the problem is Asda have got it scanning that way - It works Ok in Tesco

They would not take my £2 off She magazine that wa in the Mail on Sunday this week. I was told that they will now only take magazine ones if you actually buy it

Hi Milllie, sorry to hear they wouldn't take your magazine voucher.I think the checkout girls/boys don't really know themselves what the shops' policy is.I really think it's pot luck at the check out who you get.
  • The Asda I use tonight weren't keen to take coupons and only took 2 x 50p off an almost £60 shop plus 2 x 96p for Anchor butter which I bought. I know that I'll be shopping in Tescos from now on.
    If I had known then what I know now . . .

I did challenge them, told them I had used one the week before, and was told it must have been taken in error. However I went into the same store yesterday and gave it in again and she did not even look at it just scanned it and it went through, so the best thing to do is just keep taking them back.

Millie - Try and only go to the checkout staff who accept your coupons in future. I have about 4 staff that I go to depending on when I shop - even if I have to wait a while its worth it.
