You should never wish misfortune on anyone.
In terms of housing, I would have preferred if people weren't in difficulties. But sadly that is not the current reality. I'm sure things would be different if we could do it all again.0

The problem with internet forums (fora?) such as MSE is that they give a platform for all sorts of cranks to pedal crackpot views. If you met some of these characters in 'real life' (so to speak) you probably wouldn't give them the time of day. To paraphrase, "not everyone on the Internet is a crank, but every crank is on the Internet".
Too true, this place seems to be a magnet for them.Official MR B fan club, dont go............................0

            Been there, done that.
It's called living within your means.
Yes so have I...but it is not called living within your means when your means have been cut off without warning, that is where a little compassion and leeway should be brought into the equation. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0

or r u suggesting that defaulters should keep getting payment holidays and getting bailed out by people paying taxes and by those who dont own homes yet (FTBs) and hence artificially prop up the prices so that people like u who own multiple properties dont suffer a capital loss or that there are not that many repocessions / defaults and consequently the interest rate charged by banks dont do up on mortgages for buy to let mortgages.IveSeenTheLight wrote: »So because you had a hard life and coped, you now advocate that if others have difficulties in the future, they lose their homes so that what? i have nothing against BTL but if they cant keep up on their payments then they should be repocessed pronto and then prices will come down to saner levels and people who dont own houses will be able to buy a house at much saner prices than have to depend on shared ownership schemes or council houses as they have been priced out of the market.bubblesmoney :hello:0

 Agreed,
However the internet also allowed people to voice views that they couldnt in 'polite conversation'. I'm all for free speech in everything.0

Well why not air your views in public if you are for free speech. If I belived in full "free speech" I would talk how I liked to everyone not just on the internet.
But I don't as some subjects are moraly wrong, offensive etc.
If you cant say it in public without getting slated, punched etc, you know you should not be saying it. Some views are best left "personal"0

 To get back on topic....
Isn't defaulting on debt 'morally wrong'. By definition is removes availability of credit from someone else.0

abaxas you have no clue. I am sure you are comfortably off etc etc etc whilst you spent whole days surfing the net seeing who you could annoy. You are obviously a robot, not a human being, and if you claim to be human, then you are the worst kind, mindless, insensitive and just plain ignorant of other people's needs and situations.
I hope one day you get first hand experience like those who you mock who are struggling financially and then you will know exactly what some of these people suffer! You are not worth further acknowledgement other than this post.
***edit - I have no need to look back a few posts, i read them all before posting this, what struck me about all of your posts is that you are arrogant and have no compassionate feelings for others. and if as you claim you have struggled financially and suffered through family illness, then it certainly has not taught you anything. Any normal human would feel compassion for others who were going through a difficult time similar to that which they had experienced. You are just arrogant and judgemental, so obviously your experiences have taught you nothing***BSC #215/No.1 Jan 09 Club0

Look a few posts back and edit your post. I'll remove this one, when you have done that.0
