    Are there really people out there that are willing to pay £2.99 postage for the daily supply of junk found on the Boffer website?

    Yep! I'm one of them!:rotfl::rotfl:

    It's not worth sat pressing F5 waiting for ... something useless to come up.

    BUT just occasionally they sell things you'd really like at unbeatable prices. And that's why people find it addictive, 'cos they don't want to miss out on the one deal they're after.

    I bought a BOC for the first time in the last sell-off and was impressed with what I got. Not for those who haven't got money to throw away though.
  • WOW - are they having a sell-off of all the amazing wonderful super top-spec but low-price deals* they haven't managed to sell to the discerning customers who have fully researched all the other options* on 24gone? - I notice the customer forums have all been taken off that website too, suposedly for "an upgrade" - even though all their customers who were expressing their individual, heart-felt opinions* about the "great offers" seemed to get it to work perfectly judging by how many posts there was :D ... I'm sure that couldn't possibly have anything to do with why they took the forums down ;):D

    *edited to keep PixiePie happy :)
    In the probably unlikely event that I actually post something of use to someone, an ickle vote of thanks would be much appreciated, in fact I might frame it and put it up on the wall next to my cycling proficiency certificate :D

    WOW - are they having a sell-off of all the s-h-i-t-e they haven't managed to sell to the punters on 24gone? - I notice the customer forums have all been taken off that website too, suposedly for "an upgrade" - even though all their customers who were moaning about the "great offers" seemed to get it to work perfectly judging by how many posts there was :D ... See, posts like this really make me wonder - if you don't like something, don't buy it, simple as. I don't smoke, so when I go to a newsagent I don't go 'OMG"!! HOW DARE THEY!! Offer me cigarettes as well as my newspaper!!! THE B******s!!!! HOW COULD THEY"!!!'. No, I just go and buy my paper and that's that. It's exactly the same - Cigarettes are *in my opinion* overpriced and useless (and I'm an ex-smoker lol). You think the stuff on Boffer is overpriced and useless. The very well specced PC they had on last night or something for about 1/2 price of the shops tells me that they have at the very least some good stuff. But then I'm a happy person with a well adjusted outlook on life, and I guess it takes all sorts in this world. If you want to put your own blood pressure up, go for it, but why oh why do you have to moan at those that are enjoying something? The capacity for humans to try and make others miserable in this world never ceases to amaze me :cool:.

  • I thought the object of discussion boards was to discuss things? I.E. for people with opposing opinions to put forward those opinions?

    I don't criticise you personally for thinking their sites are marvellous, so why criticise me for thinking they are not?

    If I have got the wrong end of the stick as to the purpose of discussion boards, please let me know.

    But that's the point, you're not having a discussion, you are just ranting that it's all pants stuff on there, quite aggressively imho from the language you use etc. A discussion would be something like 'I don't think it's great value because they had x for £x and that doesn't seem to be very good, what do you think?' as a discussion means conversation backwards and forwards, not just stating an opinion as fact.

    Quote from the guidelines on here 'even if you disagree, courtesy helps' - using bad language does not show courtesy to other users.
