A Horrible Situation!

Hi dibba,Thanks. George, I only thought of this after I sent the letter - should I have sent it by recorded delivery, because I didn't! Should I send the letter again?
Also (anyone), if the loan was for £26000 (I seem to remember it was for something like that figure), does that come outside the CCA and if so, how will that impact on me?
Jumping the gun here, but assuming they can't send me a signature can I have any trace of the debt wiped from my credit files?
George, what does '12+2 working days' mean?
Would it speed up the process if I rang CL?
Thanks all!
My well be worth sending it again, s that way they can't claim it never arrived!
12+2 working days - A 'working day' is a day on which most people go to work, i.e. Monday - Friday, so that's 5 working days a week. The +2 means an extra two days to allow for postage time. So, roughly speaking, you should allow about three weeks from the date of posting for them to send you a copy of your CCA. If they don't, they can't claim any money off you until they provide the valid CCA, as I understand it (I'm sore someone will correct me if I've slipped up!)
No, DON'T ring them! They'll just bully you.

You could be right here as i think the limit is £25,000.
But you are not going to find out unless you ask for the CCA.
Does ANYTHING show up on your credit record? If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Dibba - never ring them - keep it all in writing!

RAS: It is on my record - see my original posting above.
Thanks for the advice re - keeping it in writing but I just want it over and done with. I'm 80% sure I never signed anything and certainly, if I did, I didn't think I was signing a joint loan agreement. It just seems so unfair that that being the case, I can't get it removed from my record.0 -
If it is deemed to be my debt, and it is for more than £25000, is that a good thing or a bad thing for me? Sorry to sound so naive. Also, if it is a joint loan does that figure change because repayments are (supposedly) spread across 2 people?0
