My daughters lust after cheap (got to be cheap) boxes of macaroni cheese! You can get 4 or 6 boxes for $1 if you know where to look! You just cant get them over here - apart from Kraft occasionally for about £1 per box!!! Anyone going that way has to bring some back! If she could, she would buy a suitcase full! Plus Mountain Dew by the gallon!
I love Aunt Annies (?) soft pretzels. Once found a stall at Victoria station in London but when I went down following year it had gone
Can't find owt like it ooop ere int Yorkshire and there's nowt like it!

I always used to buy foodstuffs when we went but realised it was cheaper to get them here and use the space weight for other things like clothes / trainers etc.
Saying that I always end up picking up packets of Crystal Lite which are little tubes of flavouring you add to a bottle of water to make ice tea, pink lemonade etc. Only 5 cals per pack. Although look out for the Snapple or Wallgreens own versions as they're nicer and cheaper
Also kitchen equipment is far cheaper. Every year I always seem to buy Microplane graters for friends - they cost around £17 each each here where as you can get them for around £6 in the US and they are the fully branded ones. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
Old Bay Seasoning is fab! Also - I would get a few of the Cavenders seasoning. It's a Greek seasoning (apparently) but it's fabby in all sorts including Spag Bol, Sheps Pie, Taco's, etc, etc. It pretty much seasons any meat.
On the sweet side of things - BUTTERFINGERS are the BEST American candy, close to Reeses, which as mentioned you can get here now. I blame any weight gain on Reeses Peanut Butter Cups...
PS - I wish I was your mum...!Official DFW Member 716 - Proud to be dealing with my debts0
