Making Money: Traditional Ways?

I have exactly a week to make 150-200 otherwise I'm in serious trouble with my landlord. I'm out of work after being laid off by the Royal Mail.
What would be the best ideas to go and make money the traditional way?
By that I mean, going out an getting some cash in your hand. No forms, no internet, no credit cards, no waiting a month to get paid.
I've figured my best chance is to start asking around for labouring positions on building sites where they pay you £20-30 a day cash in hand.
Or try selling a load of my DVDs/Books by placing an advert on sites like gumtree.com.
All ideas welcome, hopefully this can turn into a helpful thread for all.

Find a leaflet distributor job some of them advertise immediate start, paid in cash. Obviously not going to pay much but it can be an additional income to other ideas. I think you would have to be very lucky to sell the books etc in under a week. I've been trying for months to sell some books online, carboots and also been to dealers etc and still have them.
Are there any of those shops near you that buy clothes or those ones where you can sell anything for instant cash?0 -
explain your situation to your neighbours and see if there is any handy work they need doing (you said you might be able to get a labouring job). Have you put in for Job Seekers Allowance yet? Not sure if you can do this without being on JSA but you can apply for a crisis loan which is taken out of you JSA (so much a week).0

Wash your neigbours/ friends/ anyone's car?
Most car wash places charge approx a fiver to hand wash a car.
Offer it for 4 and you "only" need to wash 37.5 cars to make 150.0 -
If you can find any stuuf that you have that you don't want, maybe find out if there's any car boot sales still running in your area. If you try this, read the car boot helpful hints thread in the ebay forum:j30/7/10:j

have you got any stuff that you can list as a buy-it-now on ebay?
anything collectable? rare? etc or large items that will bring a bit of money?
o/wise contact job agencies for whatever work they have - they usually pay within a week or so0
