The offer does exist in some stores as mentioned above, its normally high street stores that take part, The store in Northfield, Birmingham are doing this for a limited time.

I've only seen the family meal deal advertised in one branch of McDonalds, and that was the one near the funfair and the seafront at Skegness. It saved us some money
