Hargreaves Lansdown - portfolio tools - have they improved?

Hi, I notice in one of the sticky threads that H-L doesn't get a very good review for portfolio management esp for shares, but the thread was started in Feb 06!

Does anyone have an up-to-date view on that?

  • They have a new portfolio X-ray feature which helps to show the breakdown of where your money is. Quite good I think.

I think its useful too. Nice to see where my funds were spread.

I think it would be nice to have a diversifier tool. So the X-Ray see's the funds you have, and see's where you could then invest elsewhere to diversify your portfolio.

Orrr... maybe have like a questionnaire like iii. With fund filter, so you want to invest high risk in property or whatever, it will then give an idea or where to invest. But then I think that would take out a lot of their IFAs work.
  • That's good news. Are they any good for trading shares now?
