in my area there is no cover at all. we are totally desperate.

Do you have NVQ D32/D33 Assessor Qualification ? - Some colleges / further education establishments are always on the lookout for Assessors - They supply the files for you to ensure meet with NVQ Compliance... can be £20-£30 per file/set of files in my experience.

If you have a current CRB with your own job, you may be able to get quick work with your local Social Services or other agencies prior to Christmas if you could consider working with Adults with learning disabilities.

Have you registered with your LEA for supply teaching. I know in my area it is 'ETeach' that run the county supply. Try registering with some agencies such as teaching personnel etc.
