Self cert interest only

Hi, back in the day, well three years ago, I got a nice three year fixed deal for my mortgage, self cert interest only, I own another property that back then would have earned enough over the years to pay my mortgage, obviously that has changed. I never used the 'other' property as an income or anything, it is just there and I have a five year fixed for that and nice tenants so no worries there, except of course the fact that the value hasnt improved as I would have wished. BUT and here is the question, I need another mortgage for where I am living so where would you suggest I can get a good / best deal for a self cert interest only mortgage, I am guessing my home is worth somewhere between 230 and 270k probably as we have done a lot of work and it did go up before it came down about 250k, I need 186000 plus any charges, anyone got any advice? I have never missed a payment and have held mortgages for over twenty tears, different ones as I have moved etc, so Very good credit rating, Oh and as I have read a few messages on here, the 'clever' people that just make fun and are sarcastic, please dont bother, I am serious and it is important. Thanks.

What's the reason that it has to be on a self-cert basis?
  • Surely why is my business ? suffice to say its how it is and has to be.

I was trying to be polite but if this is how people are treated on this site is it any wonder it attracts the morons, I merely didnt want to give all my details out on an open forum, sounds fair to me, or would you like it if I described my under wear as well..............

(Replying on the assumption you're genuine and not trolling) - This is a 'money saving' site - on that basis why would you not want to explore a status mortgage as it will give you a lower interest rate?
I'll leave it here as I'm not especially convinced you're genuine and I don't like your defensive, rude tone.
