We're off to Dublin next weekend without the kids :j and are heading down by train, any advice or moneysavin tips would be appreciated, maybe there are peeps that go frequently who could suggest something.

We will be in the Hilton which is close to the town centre near the Luas.

Thanks in advance

  • Take a trip to Malahide. Lovely cafes, bars, boutiques etc. Only 2 euro from Dublin on the Luas

where are you travelling from, the train is so dear compared to the bus, between the aircoach and busaras theres buses constantly running,

also hop on the dublin tour bus, u will see a lot of sights that way, its also nice to talk a walk over around Temple Bar area but its SOOOOOO dear, the bars there, very pricy!

theres a nice place to eat there "Thunder road", its just opposite the hard rock cafe, and the bars around that area are brill, but just so over priced,

    have a great time!

We got tickets for the train and are going from Central, have tried to procure seats for the Rugby but to no avail. :(

    Hi Raven
We're off in a couple of weeks and one of the tips I have gleaned is tto do the Tour Bus first if it is of interest to you as they provide a book of discounts off admission fees for a lot of places of interest.

if ur going for the rugby, temple bar is the place to be, u wont get the same atmosphere anywhere else, but be prepared for the prices!
