Hi Jake.
Good for you! you already have the correct attitude for work, by wanting to work.
Have a go at doing a CV (there are loads of templates available free on the internet) and just go around local stores, handing them out. Then sit and wait.
my daughter did that and was inundated. although that was when things were going well with businesses.
check for job seeking websites too. The local job center should have a list of them.
good luck !The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0 -
Depending on what sort of a job you want local hotels could also be an option - working as a waiter/porter/housekeeper and then possibly bar work once you turn 18.The early bird gets the worm but the second mouse gets the cheese :cool:0

Hi Jake,
My son is 16 too and recently got a job at weekends as 'kitchen porter' in local pub. I emailed his CV to all the local pubs/restaurants and finally found a vacancy. It's worth a try.
By the way when you do your CV, don't miss out any work or work experience you've done, it's all relevant - even if it's only a paper round.
Good luck!
