CCA thoughts?

Guys, I got roughly 10 creditors. Does anyone recommend me sending off requests to see the CCA's?

Comments

  • Are they still with the original creditors or DCA's?

Personally, I am of the opinion that people should repay their debts, and using technicalities and loopholes to have the debt made unenforceable is wrong... If you've spent the money, you should pay it back.
  • Understand where you are coming from.

4 of them are with DCA's and remainder with original creditor at the moment.

Is it adviseable to request to have the CCA?

At the end of the day, it's your decision what you do, but by requesting a CCA does no harm.

Put it this way, if no CCA is produced, NO ONE IS SAYING YOU'RE REFUSING TO PAY, unlike a poster above, it just makes life a little easier for you, it stops the harassment, and you can negotiate paying back on your terms and not there’s'

I have several debts, however, 2 of the DCAs are unable to produce a valid CCA, this has not stopped me paying the debts, but it has stopped the DCAs from chasing / harassing me and I pay what I want to pay, and not what they insist I pay, which suites me fine.
Click here for Martins (MSE) advice on who to contact with Debt Issues - YOU HAVE NO REASON TO USE A FEE PAYING DEBT MANAGEMENT COMPANY- THEY CANNOT DO ANYMORE FOR YOU THAN THOSE LISTED IN MY LINK ABOVE.

All information given by myself is offered informally and without prejudice - if in doubt seek help from a qualified and insured professional

People use loopholes to get out of all kinds of situations, however, using loopholes to stop harassment from a creditor / DCA is no different, and I speak from experience.

    Appreciate your comments mate :j

I will request the CCA's and go from there I think. Thanks again for your advice, was really confused about it and was under the impression by asking for them it will force the creditor to pursue the debt in court etc... so I am a happy chap now :T
  • the self righteous prat iwanttobefree above is lucky he can afford such principles i am not in that position , these companies & there dca`s have made my life hell for three years now & have had a serious affect on my life, ok i borrowed the money fair enough but i think irresponsible lending practices are a large percentage off the problem , i will never be able to settle my debts in my lifetime & as such will use any means available to remove these debts , you have to remember for the last three years they have used every trick in the debt collection manual against me dirty tricks included so why is it wrong for me & others to do the same .

See what you mean mate, sorry to hear of your problems. I am def going to request for the CCA's thanks to some great advice on here. The original answer/reply from iwanttobefree, I just ignored mate tbh because he was no help at all...

Thanks again for your comment mate and hope you get a result with requesting these docs ;)
