am i onlt person that has tried to use these Guardian vouchers? Every starbucks has turn us away.

Yes me too, I tried in a couple of Starbucks, one branch went and checked their emails from Head office, and there was nothing to tell them about the "mistake".0

I used the voucher on Thurs and while they weren't aware of the misprint they were very nice about it and I got my first ever gingerbread coffee. My friend wasn't so lucky in the same store later on. Although my friend was polite and got his free coffee, the manager was simply trying to clear the queue that had built up. The manager didn't exactly go out of his way to avoid embarrassment.
My friend is a regular customer and is having second thoughts about going back.
Has anyone else contacted Starbucks? I rang their customer care line during the day but got an answering machine. That was on Thurs and I'm still waiting for a response. I wanted to go to Starbucks today with my OH but not sure if can face the potential embarrassment!0 -

No. Apparently the press release or whatever Martin got stated it was going to be valid until Tuesday 18th. The in-store Guardian display also stated this. A few people got extra papers as a result. Later on Starbucks confirmed that they would notify their stores about the misprint in the paper but this doesn't appear to have happened. Very poor communication and customer service from Starbucks. MSE did their best to sort out the confusion last Wednesday with updates on the restaurant thread and they contacted press offices etc: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.html?p=15590231&postcount=31.0 -
Naturally if you take a coupon which says "use on 5th Nov only" into a Starbucks, on a different day, you will be refused. Yes the marketing department may think they made a mistake but the front line staff won't know or care and will just go with what's written on the coupon
I'm pleased I didn't buy loads of Guardians on the 5th Nov at 80p each. You can buy hot drinks in some places for not much more than 80p.
It's a bit of an embarrassment for MSE because the weekly email suggested that people buy "a few papers" to use over the next 2 weeks0 -

Does anyone have any successes or failures to report? I'd like to go back at the weekend and try another Xmas coffee but am worried about being embarrassed. I left a message for their customer services people last week but still haven't had a call from them.0
