Hi,
Every year me and my boyfriend make each other advent calenders. We are only allowed to spend £20, so after taking away the cost of materials to make it, I am left with just over 50p a day.
I need ideas of little things I could buy for less than 50p. Last year I used little toys like bouncy balls, chocolate and sweets. This year I need some new ideas.
Thanks
Abi

Rymans and Tesco have both had lots of reduced 'bits' in the past couple of weeks - 4 colour pens for 20p in Mr T, and lots of different keyrings etc in Rymans reduced to 99p and then on 3for2 - torches, pens, football-themed and other non-kiddy ones are the ones I've picked up, but I'm sure there's more as my branches are only little - so perhaps worth a look if you have either nearby.
You could also get him his dream car for 37p in Sainsburys right now - the half price toy sale includes the little own-brand matchbox-size ones - there are sports cars, VW beetles - all sorts.

Those little travel sized/sample toiletries you can get in Superdrug are worth looking at, titchy bottles of "Original Source" shower gel would do down quite well, as would any of the "King of Shaves" items. We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

You could ask for samples of aftershave or men's eau de toilette in large department stores and Boots etc. Just say you're considering buying the brand for your boyfriend for Christmas and do they have a sample you could take for him to try. If you go for new fragrances that are being promoted they're more likely to have samples. Then you'll get the little bottles that are enough for 1 or 2 uses. They'll fit nicely into your calendar and won't cost you anything. By the way, I think your present idea is lovely!0
