Serveys - Are they worth doing??

Options
Hi

I have read alot over last few days about online servays as a way to earn extra income, as i work nights i can spare at least 3-5 hours a day if required filling in servays or leaving reviews but everyones coments i have read on here seams to imply they hardly earn £10 - 20 a week doing this at best, am i missing something??

Cheers

James

  • *cough* surveys *cough*

To be honest generally from survey companies like Valued Opinions, Lightspeed you won't make much.
Ill be suprised if you even get £10 - £20 a week.
I think the best way of making money is probably Dooyoo, a review writing company.
Also apparently Slicethepie is good but i havent looked at that.
  • So basically not a career option for a second job then ?? lol

    Surveys do you mean.

Not many of them pay much some I would avoid like Yougov and Tuluna
  • add Onepoll to the list,
Its definatly not a second job, more like a bit of extra spending money or a way of paying for Christmas
  • Someone has a reliable company to work with ?

I do yougov (had £100 so far and I'm £2 away from another cheque), lightspeed (had numerous Amazon vouchers over the years) and tuluna (probably had about £40 in vouchers). I also do onepoll and have earned one £40 payout. I also do valued opinions and have had £10, but I haven't been doing them long.

You won't get rich doing these and it does take ages to earn anything, but I tend to fill them in during my tea break at work or when my dinner is cooking so it's free money as far as I'm concerned. I don't think you could earn £20 a week. The only time I have had a lot of money in one week is in the run up to elections when yougov tend to bombard you with surveys. To be honest I don't really understand why people expect survey companies to pay lots. If they paid everyone a few quid for each survey they'd go bust very quickly!

I can also recommend Valued Opinions, Global Test Market and Harris Interactive. You won't make £20 a week, it's more a bit of extra spending money. I can make £20 a month but it can sometimes take weeks for the to come through so it is hard to calculate it into a weekly amount.
Another site to check is Ipoints. You get points for reading emails, ordering brochures, signing up for newsletter, filling in surveys and shopping. You can echange these for books, dvd's, vouchers, drink and many more.
If you want any referrals I'll happily help out.
