I want sky+ but without the extras...

I have been a customer with sky for years and have the old type box. I would like to have sky+, but I don't really want to have multi room or any of that old rubbish, I would just like to get the box. Is that going to cost an arm and a leg or would sky do some kind of deal ?! What's the best sort to get ??

There are numerous threads on this subject but I can say that in October my husband rang (after reading something on here) and told them he was going to cancel.....they immediately offered a SKY PLUS system which was classed as refurbished for £49. No multi room but staying on the same package (£36 I think). The best bet, would be to ring them on the 0800 number and tell them you are thinking of cancelling or going over to NTL. They will then give you your options. I think the SKY PLUS thing has come down a bit in price, but not 100% sure. Our box has been great, except we do get a few failed recordings. Good luck.

You don't need all the extras (multi-room etc)

I believe sky are doing the box new for £99 at the mo.

You WILL need the fitting service as they have to change the LNB on your dish as the box requires two feeds off the aerial.

The only other CATCH is that you must take one of the premium packages (movies and/or sports) or its an extra £10 a month for the box !!!!

I've had sky+ since it was launched - the best thing since sliced bread !!! (Thats what the box can do !!)
