Barclaycard payment plan - advice needed

I slipped over my credit limit with barclays cc this month, so they've charged me! i haven't used me card for ages, but with it being crimbo...
anyway, because of this, this month my minimum payment is £60, instead of the normal £20, which sucvks, coz if i had £60 i wouldn't have used my cc!
I contacted Barclaycard last night to see if i could not make this months payment - GE Capital did this same thing for me a few months ago, and it really helped out. They said no of course. But tried to transfer me to a helpline to set up a payment plan if i thought it was going to be an ongoing problem.
Has anyone done this with Barclaycard. what will a payment plan involve? is it worth me speaking to them?
Help!

Yes, a few years ago I had a payment plan from them.
Basically it was a 6 month plan where they freeze the intrest and agree a set min amount which is lower than your min amout you would of been paying.
You must not miss payments and they will review it after 6 months.
I did notice that it did not show up on my credit report.
