CSA sent to Newcastle, any ideas why?

I sent details of change of circumstance to my CSA office in Plymouth on 1/9/08 by post, fax and email. My email was acknowledged the next day and advised I should receive a recalculation in 10-15 working days. Beginning October I still hadn't received anything so called them back and they stated they hadn't received anything but had now traced my letter and to give it 28 days. I have today phoned them again after hearing absolutely nothing and they advised the case had been sent to Newcastle to be dealt with as there was a problem.
I pay the CSA to PWC for 3 children. 1 left FTE in June and started FT employment in July and one left FTE June and started apprenticeship in garage in September. The other is still in FTE. This is was the details I had sent.
The CSA said they could give me no further info as they were unable to contact Newcastle and they would try again on Monday.
Anybody know what Newcastle deal with or any ideas what the problem is. I'm paying way over the top at the mo.

If they said the case had been sent to Newcastle because there is a problem, then this is related to a task on CS2 having a fault.
When a "safety net " fails on the system the task automatically goes into work queue in Newcastle for EDS to clear and return to the caseworker in Plymouth.
Not a lot you can do at this point but wait for the fault to be cleared. The caseworker in plymouth will not be able to contact Newcastle to chase the error.
