It's been so quiet on here ................. reckon everyone's scurrying around using up their pinkies!
Opened my cupboard, where I keep all my Christmassy things, and there was the most gorgeous smell!
Have used up all my points now (got scared after reading about points being removed!), got all presents except for DIL's rabbit, and now await the next glitch, er, um, I mean special offer, with interest!
How was the R & M mirror glitch discovered? Really curious about that!0 -
Someone was asking the other day for advice on returning a faulty No 7 GWP.
Just noticed this from Martin's article on Consumer Rights:-
"Are free goods covered?- This is a tricky area in consumer rights, as technically when something is free you’ve not got a contract with the supplier and therefore aren’t entitled to get a faulty item fixed. The same applies if you are given something as a gift, where the person who pays for the item has the contract and will need to sort out any problems. This can be overcome if the buyer tells the seller the item is a gift, so remember to do this if you buy an expensive present for someone.
Yet if a free gift comes with something else, maybe a free bike when you sign up to a gym contract or a free matching toaster if you buy a particular brand of kettle, and the free item later becomes faulty, you have the same protection as if you’d paid for it. Most sellers will be aware of this but if you encounter problems stand your ground and complain."

I also bought an eyeliner even tho I had no ACM voucher, so your comment made me smile.
I got 2 GWPs and both mine had Taffeta nail varnish in them ( I even got them from two different display stands in the hope that the colours would be different!:rotfl:). It's a nice colour but I don't really want two the same. If anyone else got two the same of a different colour (not clear) and would like to swap, please PM me.I got 2 x taffeta too so if Clare is sorted and anybody else is interested I will do the same with one of mine ( except I don't mind clear)This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.Robert M.
